The “Preparation of SOPs for Flood Management for Malwathu Oya, Yan Oya, and Mi Oya River Basins” is an MCB-led initiative to enhance flood risk management in Sri Lanka. This project focuses on developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve flood forecasting, early warning systems, emergency responses, and recovery measures for these flood-prone areas. By integrating modern hydrological data, stakeholder engagement, and best practices in disaster management, the project aims to protect communities, infrastructure, and livelihoods while fostering sustainable and resilient development.
