  • Sri Lanka Customs (1978–2013)
    – Served as a Deputy Director of Customs, retiring after 35 years of service.
    – Specialized in wildlife trade investigations, environmental protection, and international customs compliance.
    – Founded and led the Biodiversity Protection Unit (BPU) at Sri Lanka Customs, recognized as the world’s first of its kind (1993).

    – Represented Sri Lanka at WCO/CITES Working Groups and international conferences on wildlife crime, biodiversity, and environmental conservation, including:
